Efficiency at Work

We have all fallen prey to the many hovering distractions above our heads at work – yes, here they are purely arbitrary. So how do you battle it out with not being constructive at work and come out triumphant? Well here are a few pointers to give you a steady head-start:

- Divide fun emails and work emails – Although this may come as a surprise to you, but, before it dawns on your mind, you will witness yourself scrolling to numerous entertaining fun-filled mails and then find yourself pulling strands off your head in order to get work done by the end of day. You always have your lunch time or breaks for the fun mails, right?

- Face your ‘demons’ – Well the word ‘demons’ in this context, is used to signify the most strenuous projects or work assignments that need some serious concentration. Finish them off on priority and then you will find it easier to breathe calmly while you finish the other minuscule tasks.

- Take it one at a time – For most employees the concept of multi-tasking is supposedly beneficial. But look deeper and you will realize that by putting a hand in different bowls at the same time won’t fetch you anything, as your productivity is hampered. Always learn to finish off assignments one-by-one. Here you guarantee yourself of finishing projects, as well as leaving haphazardness in performance far behind.
